Thanksgiving In Gloucester

No one should have to spend Thanksgiving alone or without a warm meal.

This year, I was honored to help again at the Capt. Lester S Wass American Legion Post 3's annual Thanksgiving Holiday Dinner.

A heartfelt thank you to Julie Fontaine, her great staff, and all of the volunteers at the Open Door for their dedication in preparing, serving, and delivering meals to those in need.

Grateful for our community's generosity and spirit.

Thanksgiving celebrations in North Reading

Another wonderful annual tradition shared by all at the Thanksgiving Dinner for North Reading Seniors!

I was honored to continue the tradition by co-hosting the event with my friends House Minority Leader Brad Jones and his wife Linda.

We were able to present our constituent Mary Trullo with an official citation in recognition of her receiving the Boston Post Cane Award for being the Oldest Resident in the Town of North Reading.

We had wonderful food, great entertainment, and the spirit of community and friendship filling the room at the Hillvide Golf Course in North Reading.

HEALEY SIGNS BREAST CANCER SCREENING BILL

Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester, hailed the passage of legislation he co-sponsored, saying it will help save lives.

"Access to timely and comprehensive breast cancer screenings can mean the difference between early detection and delayed diagnosis, which can have life-saving implications," Tarr said.

"Financial obstacles should not stand in the way of screenings and exams that make a proven difference for effective treatment. By removing these obstacles, we are taking a significant step forward in improving health outcomes and saving lives while also saving health care dollars."
