Newburyport Fire Department Says Farewell To Three Members
This week I helped to celebrate the retirement of three dedicated public safety professionals with more than 100 years of combined service!. I shared official Senate Citations with each but I also want to thank them, their families, and the Department here.
Lieutenant Richard S. Thurlow, served from 1978 to 2021; 43 years.
Firefighter Phillip Hersey, served from 1986 to 2021; 35 years.
Firefighter Wendy Kimball, served from 1997 to 2021; 24 years.
Again, thanks are in order for their outstanding service to the community and the City of Newburyport. Michael's Harborside hosted the fine celebration.
