Natural Gas Safety and the Merrimack Valley Explosions and Fires
My colleagues and I on the Telecommunications, Utilities & Energy Committee conducted an oversight hearing today on natural gas safety & the Columbia Gas Sept. 13 explosions and fires.
Matthew Beaton, Massachusetts Secretary of Energy & Environmental Affairs, provided testimony at the hearing as did utility executives, labor officials and independent experts.
The committee also opened the hearing on Governor Baker's gas-safety bill, H4979.
