Climate Stories from the Community
Thank you to Climate Chief Melissa Hoffer, the Massachusetts Office of Climate Innovation and Resilience, local leaders, and North Shore residents at the 'Climate Stories from the Community' event held at Castle Hill in Ipswich.
The stories shared by farmers, shellfishermen, planners, and community partners were powerful reminders that the challenges we face from extreme weather threaten not only our environment, but also the fishing traditions, working waterfronts, and maritime heritage that define our region.
As we confront a changing climate, our responsibility is twofold: to protect the natural resources we depend on, and to preserve the livelihoods and traditions that have sustained our coastal communities for generations.
Thank you to Chief Hoffer and her team for bringing people together to engage in this important conversation, and to everyone who shared their experiences.
Your voices guide our efforts to build a resilient future—one that strengthens both our environment and our maritime heritage.
