Veterans Day ceremonies were well attended, well organized, and full of gratefulness for our nation's defenders. From Salisbury Town Common to North Reading (which recently become a Purple Heart Town) veterans were first and foremost on our minds. I presented the Mass Liberty Medal to Lillian Martin whose brother Robert Richardson was Killed in Korea on July 3, 1951- he served in the U.S. Army. We honored veterans at the Gloucester High School auditorium where the ceremony reflected our collective thanks to the veterans who served our country so well.
