Whether you’re planting a tree, installing a mailbox, or starting a larger project, a quick call to Dig Safe helps prevent damage to underground utilities—and protects you, your family, and your community.
Hitting a gas, electric, water, or communication line can cause serious injury, service disruptions, and costly repairs. Even small projects using a shovel can lead to big problems.
In Massachusetts, the law requires you to contact Dig Safe at least 72 hours before digging—and the service is free.
